The Christian Education Program

Our Christian Education ministry seeks to nurture faith of all ages.

We have a dedicated Sunday school staff that teaches our Pre School through senior high aged children and youth. Children and youth begin in worship, then after the children’s sermon, they head out to their classes. The first Sunday of the month, children and youth attend a children’s church, led by three wonderful volunteers. When there is a 5th Sunday of the month, we have an all church family worship service, and children and youth remain in worship for the whole service. This is to help children become more familiar with worshiping God, and to help people of all ages learn to be the family of Christ.

Our vacation Bible school draws children from all over town, and happens the first week of August. In addition to volunteers from our own church family, our Little Lambs teachers also help during this important week. Children come to know Jesus better, and our hope is that all who come to our VBS will grow in faith.

We also have adult education classes and Bible studies.

Our Friday morning Bible study meets at 10:00 in the Fireside room on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. All are welcome.

We have ongoing Sunday morning adult education as well. These classes happen after the Sunday service, and extended childcare is available. We offer classes on different books of the Bible, current films and books that have to do with faith, and current issues on the possibilities for peace in the Holy Land and Palestine.

Our mission committee lines up various mission speakers throughout the year to broaden our horizons and learn about peoples from other cultures.

During the summer months, we have barbecues and special presentations which help us grow in faith.

Presbyterian Women has a Bible study and special speaker twice a month, the first and third Thursday of the month at 1:30.
